The ordinary, in colour again
A world does not have to become extraordinary to become vivid. A cup, a kitchen, a familiar room: the visual companion returns to ordinary objects because Michael’s difference lives there too. To see the story only as an escape from darkness would miss the quieter possibility of noticing what is already near.
Which ordinary thing would you look at differently if nobody asked you to explain it?
